My Personal Journey from Burnout, Through Psychotherapy, to Renewed Passion via Life Coaching

As a fellow physician and a single parent to four children, I can intimately understand the weight of responsibility we carry in our professional and personal lives. The sudden loss of my husband, compounded by the pressures of our demanding medical field, led me into a downward spiral of intense burnout.

I grappled with immense stress, becoming so overwhelmed that facing each day was a monumental task. Yet, the need to provide for my family fuelled my resolve to seek a solution.

Thus, began my transformative journey into the realm of personal development. I immersed myself in a plethora of resources: reading books, listening to podcasts, following influential figures, and undertaking numerous courses. In search of solace and a way forward, I also explored traditional psychotherapy. The turning point arrived when I discovered the Natural Success work and the immense potential of coaching

Traditional Psychotherapy: A Safe Space but with Limited Progress

My psychologist provided an environment of understanding and support, where I could voice my struggles.

  • Empathy and Understanding: A therapist provided a safe, non-judgmental space where I could express my deepest fears and sorrows.
  • Insight into Past Influences: I gained insights into the root cause of my stress. My therapy sessions helped me understand how my past was influencing my present and contributing to my stress.

Despite finding solace in the supportive environment, I felt anchored in place. While I was gaining valuable insights into my past, the substantial progress I yearned for remained elusive. Indeed, acknowledging the effects of my past on my current situation provided some clarity, yet it didn’t seem to initiate any real forward movement. I remained entangled in my circumstances, with the desired future appearing just as distant, making tangible progress appear virtually out of reach.

Looking for a more proactive approach, I turned to life coaching. This became a catalyst for change, focusing less on dissecting past experiences and more on shaping the future I envisioned for myself and my family. Here are the pivotal benefits I experienced:
